Rhino Flops Partners With Restavec Freedom Alliance To Help Haitian Children

Rhino Flops is pleased to announce the donation of almost 300 pairs of flip flops to the Restavec Freedom Alliance, for distribution to deserving young children and adults in Haiti.

"There are few who are willing and able to do the kind of work that Restavec is doing," said Jane Segall, Creative Director and co-founder at Rhino Flops.  "We admire and passionately support their mission of transforming lives in a region of the world that desperately needs help, and are proud to contribute to their effort in a small way by donating our flip flops. I'm sure the flops will come to very good use over there."

Ellen Graber Donohue, USA Program Director at the Restavec Freedom  Alliance added, "We are very excited that Rhino Flops chose to donate to RFA. We work with children who were former slaves in Haiti, or were on the brink of being given away into that situation. We also have a presence in the community where we offer free schooling to the children there. As we work to empower the next generation in Haiti, being able to supply some basic needs to the wonderful communities that support our work is a blessing."

Restavec will be delivering the flip flops to Haiti in July, so make sure to follow us for more updates and pictures on this story in the near future.

About Restavec Freedom Alliance

Restavec Freedom Alliance is dedicated to providing relief for the Restavec children, children who are “given” to families and usedas slaves in Haiti. Our mission is to offer a safe, stable, family centered environment for these children. Homes of Refuge are created with a Pastor’s families as the supporting parents. Each child will have access to an education, medical support, loving care, psychiatric care, adequate food, and sanitary facilities. Most importantly, each child will have access to a childhood.
